Belinda Carlisle is the lead singer of The Go-Go’s, the most successful all-girl rock band of all time. They just played what has been described as an incredible set at Cruel World Fest in Pasadena, CA on May 17th. Belinda will be setting off on a solo tour in Europe this summer. Belinda was born in 1958.

Kim Wilde holds the record for the most charted British female solo singer of the 80’s with seventeen top 40 hit singles. She also hosted a BBC gardening program, and wrote two children’s books. Kim is the host of “Kim Wilde’s 80’s Show” on Ireland’s Classic Hit Radio four nights a week. Her latest album, “Closer,” was released in January, 2025 and she will be touring Europe all summer. She recently said her 60’s is her most remarkable decade yet. Kim was born in 1960.

Sade Adu, lead singer for Sade. Their LPs, “Diamond Life” and “Promise” were two of the best selling albums of the 80’s. Last year, she released “Young Lion,” a song dedicated to her son, who is transgender. The song was featured on ‘Transa,’ an album bringing awareness to trans rights. Sade was born in 1959.

Bonnie Tyler had several huge hits in the 70’s and 80’s. The most successful single was “Total Eclipse Of The Heart.” She is most known for her unmistakable husky voice. She is currently headlining a European tour through December 2025. Bonnie was born in 1951.

Susannah Hoffs is the lead singer of The Bangles, one of the biggest hit makers of the 80’s with “Walk Like An Egyptian” being their biggest worldwide hit. On April 2nd, Susannah released a gorgeous re-recording of “Eternal Flame.” Susannah was born in 1959.

Chrissie Hynde is lead singer of The Pretenders since 1978. They are currently on tour in Latin America. They will be releasing their 11th album in June. “Kick ‘Em Where It Hurts,” a double live vinyl which will also be available on streaming services. Chrissie is also a noted painter. She was born in 1951.

Nena Kerner of “99 Luft Balloons” fame, has never stopped recording or touring. She released six albums with the original band and thirteen stellar solo LPs. For many years, several of her children have performed live with her and are on tour all summer into the fall of 2025. Nena was born in 1960.

Siobhan Fahey was a founding member of Bananarama and Shakespears Sister whose single “Stay” remained at #1 for a record eight weeks. Siobhan toured with Bananarama in 2017-2018. She is working on releasing a Shakespears Sister Box Set for 2025 release. Siobhan was born in 1958.

Keren Woodward is a founding member of Bananarama. They’ve released twelve albums and are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest number of chart entries by an all girl band. “Glorious Live In London” was released this week featuring a live performance at the London Palladium. Keren was born in 1961.

Sara Dallin is also a founding member of Bananarama. They released 32 singles which landed in the UK Top 50 Music Charts. Three singles, “Venus,” “Cruel Summer” and “I Heard A Rumour” were all top ten hits in the US. Dallin continues to record albums and tour with Keren Woodward as Bananarama. Sara was born in 1961.
